+++UPDATE October 2011+++
Has been a runner-up in a national 'Best Sunday lunch' competition (Observer Food Monthly Awards, no less). Well done them...

Comment received: "Y Ffarmers/Farmers Arms has been under new ownership since April 2010 and is gaining a growing reputation for good food. The chef is Rhodri Edwards (chef at Ultracomida, Aberystwyth, from 2007-2009 and at the Harbourmaster, Aberaeron 2005-2007). We're closed on a Monday but open for food from Tuesday evening to Sunday lunchtime."

Popped over for a drive-by photoshoot when the pub was shut. The drive there is an absolute stinker, be prepared!

The food and real ales are both excellent, as is the quality of the welcome, and the cleanliness of the premises.

Ate there on a Saturday lunchtime - be warned, I think lunch is only served in winter at weekends (until Easter, maybe?) so check before going. Well worth the drive along the narrow roads!

Take a look at our website to find out more (sample menus plus up-to-date pictures of the pub) - http://www.yffarmers.co.uk. Would the aberpub blogger like to pay a return visit...?

Well, it took me to leave Aber to finally make it out to this gem on a short return visit to see friends. The food is simply excellent, which I guess it has to be to encourage enough people to make the trek. I had a chorizo starter and pork belly main, very good size portions too. Our party of seven were all very happy. Really hope they can keep the standards up, we'll be back next time we're in town.
