Last APG visit: 01/12/2009

Quite a locals pub, with a younger clientèle than the other three in the town. Has had an extensive refurb in the past couple of years. Has a so-so ale (Rev'd James) and a quiz machine, plus darts. Functional beer garden out back.

Check out the retro Borth FC footy shirt. Loves its sport, got SKY and Setanta. Pretty popular, and can be difficult to get a seat at weekends.

This used to be one of the most popular pubs for many miles around in the sixties and seventies. Deep Purple played in the back bar when they first started out. The hippies used to descend from the hills at weekends. Robert Plant was a regular. I can remember that it was impossible to move in the place at the weekends. Times change eh?

It's little wonder the restaurant area of this pub is expanding. Excellent home cooked food, generous portions, good value. Best Sunday Lunch in the area.
